Describe your church plant or ministry, your context and some of your mission priorities.
Paradigm is a new (April '09) ministry in North Seattle, operating out of Maple Leaf Church in the neighborhood of Maple Leaf. We're describing ourselves as a "sustainable faith project," and our vision is to journey with others toward a life of "holiness and wholeness." (A wordy person might say we want to propagate systemic faithfulness and life...)

As we continue to learn what God is doing in Maple Leaf, we're particularly burdened to share ourselves with transplants and young families moving into the neighborhood – people who are looking for a sense of family and navigating new stages of life miles and miles away from their support system.

We're also really interested in dialoguing with people who are interested in faith but, for whatever reason, haven't engaged in standard forms of weekly worship. We get together on Sundays at 6PM to pursue God in a context that is participatory and dialogical.

We're deeply concerned with practicing Kingdom-minded, missional theology as we sync our Wesleyan roots with Celtic, Orthodox, and Jewish wisdom. "Participation" is our theological conviction and missional aspiration.

Paradigm is partnering with Maple Leaf Church to update their large traditional building into a hub for missional living in the neighborhood. Our goal is to transform the space into something conducive to hosting parenting groups, art galleries, concerts, a music/arts summer camp, etc. for a neighborhood filled with young families.
